In Norse mythology, Brísingamen is the necklace of Freya, the goddess of beauty and renewal. Old Norse sources describe a jewel of extraordinary brilliance, forged by four dwarven smiths and prized by Freya above anything else she owned. It came to stand for beauty that carries real power.
